A relatively recent phenomenon is the Live/Work townhome.  There are two areas where you can find these.  The first is at the axis of Kerr and Lakeshore.  The other is in Bronte between Bronte Road and Nelson.  These properties are ideal for small business owners who work from home.  They are also popular with investors who lease the two spaces out separately.  They include street level commercial/retail space and two floors of residential living space above.  Many have roof top terraces.  These dwellings are feeholds that share common elements -  typically visitor parking and laneway.  Most common element fees are roughly $140 per month.  Both two and three bedroom townhomes exist.
